TREAT YOURSELF TO COMPREHENSIVE

Orthodontic Services

Dr. Todd has been treating orthodontic patients in Springfield, Missouri and surrounding areas for over 10 years serving thousands of our friends and neighbors with superior orthodonic care for all ages including interceptive (early) treatment for children as young as 7, and adults. While orthodontics contains a huge cosmetic component, Dr. Todd Buzbee has gone above and beyond to extensively understand the orthopedic component of orthodonics and how the bite can contribute to other health problems. Dr. Todd has used this knowledge to help hundreds of patients find relief from facial pain, headaches, and other TMD symptoms.

Early Orthodontic Treatment

“Early” treatment, also called “interceptive” treatment, means treatment that is performed while some baby teeth are still present. By then, your child has enough permanent teeth to evaluate the developing teeth and the jaws, which in turn can provide a wealth of information.

Adolescent and Teen Orthodontics

Orthodontic problems don't improve with age — they simply become harder to treat. It's easier to treat many orthodontic problems during adolescence because the body is still growing rapidly at this time.

Adult Orthodontics

Healthy teeth can be moved at any age, so there's no such thing as being too old for braces.

Types of Braces

All orthodontic appliances work essentially the same way: by employing light, constant force to move teeth into proper alignment. But how we apply these forces can vary, as numerous innovations have become available in recent years.

Orthodontic Emergency

At first, having orthodontic treatment may take a little getting used to. It isn't uncommon to experience a bit of soreness when appliances are first put on, or some minor aches as teeth begin moving into new positions. Yet it's comforting to know that genuine orthodontic emergencies are rare.

Invisalign

We offer a modern solution of straightening your teeth through clear braces, made specifically to fit your mouth.

TMD

If you experience ongoing pain in the area near your ear, your jaw or the muscles on the side of your face, possibly accompanied by a clicking or popping sound or restricted jaw movement, you may be suffering from TMD — an abbreviation for Temporomandibular disorders.
